Dedicated Veterans Support Line launches in Northern Ireland

Earlier this year, we reported on plans for a dedicated advice service to support veterans and their families across Northern Ireland. The proposed service has now been launched.

Veterans Support Line NI is a free and confidential service designed to help veterans and their families access information, advice and support. The service aims to provide a clear route into housing, welfare and wider support services, helping people understand what assistance may be available and how to access it.

The support line offers individual needs assessments based on personal circumstances and can provide information on social security benefits, housing support, statutory services and veteran-related organisations.

Veterans and family members can contact the service directly to discuss their situation and explore the support options available to them.

The launch marks the delivery of a commitment announced earlier this year and provides Northern Ireland veterans with a dedicated point of contact for advice and guidance.

Veterans Support Line NI is available Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 4.00pm (excluding public holidays).

Telephone: 0800 158 5556

Text: ADVICE to 07860 042576

This latest development also strengthens the range of support routes available to veterans across Northern Ireland, adding a dedicated access point for those seeking help with housing, welfare and wider civilian services.
