New Armed Forces Hub to launch in Torpoint

A new Armed Forces Hub is launching in Torpoint, Cornwall, to improve access to support for veterans, serving personnel, reservists and military families.

Veterans Regroup CIC is working with Torpoint Town Council and Team Raleigh CIC to launch the new multi-agency hub at Torpoint Library on Tuesday 8 September 2026.

The hub will bring military charities, community organisations and public services together in one place, making it easier for people to speak to the right organisations without needing to know where to start.

Torpoint has strong Royal Navy links and is close to HMS Raleigh. The new hub is intended to provide a regular and accessible local place where members of the Armed Forces community can meet, talk informally and connect with support.

Visitors will be able to discuss issues including housing, finances, employment, health and wellbeing, as well as connect with others from the Armed Forces community.

The hub forms part of Veterans Regroup CIC’s wider network of multi-agency Armed Forces Hubs across Cornwall, built around a “No Wrong Door” approach. This means people can start with one accessible route and be helped towards the right support, even if they are unsure which organisation they need.

Ten organisations have already confirmed their attendance at the launch, with more expected to join.

There is no need to book an appointment or have a specific problem before attending. Veterans, serving personnel, reservists and military family members are all welcome to drop in.

After the launch, the Torpoint Armed Forces Hub will take place at Torpoint Library from 10:00am to 12 noon on the second Tuesday of each month, excluding school holidays.
